Meet the Planners – Yobel Bemnet

Continuing our “𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨” series, we are happy to introduce Yobel Bemnet , the latest addition to our growing team.

𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙑𝙚𝙚𝙊𝙣𝙚, 𝙔𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙡. 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙..
Thank you! I’m Yobel Bemnet, and unlike many VeeOne planners, I started my journey within the railway industry more than a decade ago. I’ve had different roles during the last few years, including crew planner, product specialist and planning analyst. It was during my time as a crew planner at SJ Götalandståg, a Swedish railway company, that my passion for planning was ignited. I was asked to join a project that aimed to set up and implement a new planning system, so I moved to Stockholm and joined SJ AB. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and playing ball games such as badminton and padel tennis. I also enjoy travelling and spending time with friends and family.

I was eager to try something new in the field of planning and broaden my experience. I met with the VeeOne management who shared their concept and their vision for the future, and this really excited me. I quickly realized that the team consisted of many individuals from whom I could learn and that I would have the opportunity to gain more knowledge and grow professionally.

From day one, everyone has been so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. I feel excited to be a part of VeeOne and this journey. Our team members, from across the globe, with different cultural backgrounds and experiences make every meeting interesting, and the education has already begun!

I strongly believe that the future looks bright for VeeOne, partly due to the wide-ranging knowledge base, the background of our team members, and strong demand in the market. My experience as a crew planner and planning analyst is that things can change very quickly, both within the company and in response to external events. Time and resources quickly become scarce, and the focus shifts to solving current problems. I believe that the services VeeOne offers is something that many companies need and desire.
